Thompson Park
2 Towers
Completed 2016
Built upon the site of an old Mercury Energy building, and even retaining the original two lower levels, Thompson Park stands out as a positive addition to its suburb, not just for its architectural prowess but also for its commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and providing a modern, comfortable living environment for its residents.
The two towers incorporate generous spaces for informal social interaction and community camaraderie. A shared 10m wide landscaped courtyard is connected with a series of walkways and floating bridges. Pedestrian traffic traversing the two blocks oversees the generously appointed recreational space in this intermediate zone.
The north side of the development features communal areas with barbeques under a vast timber pergola structure with swimming pools for the residents. Lower level apartments can access the grassed area directly from their balconies.
